Bounce Dog Bounce!

Although the following pics don't necessarily involve my puppy club I thought I would put them on this site because some of my family members only want to see humans on the family website! So here you have the first of my training sessions with Bo and Fin.

Bo is not much on treats so I rewarded her with the tennis ball. Every time she did what I wanted, I would throw the ball for her. My goal would be for her to just jump through the hoop after I say HOOP. Right now, I have to hold the ball on the other side of the hoop and ask her to get it.

Fin can't make it through the hoop but he was jumping over the bar like a champ! Here you can tell he is not going to quite make it.

My assistant had the great idea to incorporate her body as a step since he is still too small to clear it by himself. After all, the circus people put their bodies out there for the animals to use as props!

When Bo jumps over the bar I throw the ball up so that she has to catch it when she lands on the other side. I will post some vids later of me trying this trick with her.

New Puppies!

So since I have blogged we have added two more puppies to our group. Most of you already know about Abby, the cutest chocolate lab ever, the other puppy is Fenway, a Rottweiler/Lab mix that Katie got a week or so ago.

In this pic, Daisy is totally giving it to Abby. I just don't know what IT is.

Finley whips around as Kiki comes up from behind.

This little guy showed up and wanted to play, but his stuffy owner kept him separated from us! Boo!

There is Fenway, under Daisy (the blond).

There is a better face shot of Fenway. The dogs loved the newly placed sand, under the covered entrance. We stayed there almost the whole hour, blocking the gate, which is probably why the old man wouldn't bring his dog in!

Little Vid of Doggie Fun

This One's For You Nannie!

This weekend Finley and Daisy had a lot more fun at the dog park than last weekend! They wrestled all around with each other and the other bigger dogs. Poor Daisy, Liz just told me she has a UTI! She is only 10 weeks old!

Here's Ziggy. I took this pic for Nannie because black cockers are her fav. I think. This one was totally nice. I do NOT like cockers. They always looks like they want to bite me! But this one was sweet and his owner was nice too. Next to Ziggy is Titus. He had the exact same coloring as Kiki. He was four months old and I don't know what he is made out of. Which dogs I mean!

Group shot. Kind of. Everyone took off at the last moment.

Another group shot.

Welcome to My New Page!

I decided to start a new blog page dedicated just to my new puppy club. Mike did a really nice job of setting it up for me too! The video bar on the right switches thru different videos. If you see a video that looks more like a musice video, that is the one for "Doggie Bounce," which is where we got the blog name from. Doggie Bounce is from Flight of the Conchords. Anyway, I thought since I knew three people that just got puppies, it would be fun to start a puppy club up at the dog park. I was right, even though only 2 of the 3 showed up, we still had a great time. There were some other smaller dogs there making about 6 total so it was pretty funny watching them chase each other all around.

Finly and Daisy get acquainted. Daisy belongs to my friend from school, Liz. She is a lab. Daisy that is, not Liz.

The dogs had a huge park to play with, but they stayed in this black, dirty, sandy corner wrestling for over an hour! The black one and the white one are some type of poodle mix(I didn't know their owners). The light brown one is Delilah, she belongs to my friend Laura, Gigi's mom. And of course Kiki in the back. Finley is in the middle.

Although I think that aussies are the cutest puppies ever, this little Daisy is a close runner up!

After the poodles left, the three puppyteers have some private butt sniffing time. I didn't get any good pics of Delilah because she was running and moving the whole time!

Daisy and Finley. They were the least active and youngest of the group so they didn't do a lot of running around.
